Professor Andrew Grainger is an established practitioner, educator, consultant, and academic with a focus on cross-border logistics operations, trade facilitation, port resilience, and border management. His work is showcased in various reports and publications by international organisations.
His early career included a longer stint at SITPRO, the UK’s former trade facilitation agency as Deputy Director, Trade Procedures. For almost a decade he held tenure at the University of Nottingham where he lecturered on transport and logistics and also led several high-impact research programmes – which are featured in the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) impact assessment.
Professor Grainger currently partners with government agencies, companies and international organisations to help cut red-tape in international trade. He is the author of “Cross-border logistics operations: effective trade facilitation and border management” published by Kogan Page, London.
