Dr Jisoo Yi
Dr Yi is an Associate Professor in International Trade at Dankook University, South Korea. She holds a PhD in Customs Law and Administration from the University of Canberra, completed through the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES). Before entering academia, she worked as a licensed customs broker in Korea, advising global firms on import/export procedures and regulatory compliance. 

Her research focuses on customs law, tariff classification, and trade facilitation policy. She has led and participated in multiple policy research projects commissioned by Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. She currently serves as Vice President of the Korean Association of Customs Studies (KACS) and the Korean Association of Trade Studies (KATS). She is actively involved in connecting academic research with public policy and regulatory practice, aiming to support both innovation and transparency in international trade governance.
