A former diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and a Senior Executive in the Australian Customs Service, Mark has nearly 50 years’ experience as a practitioner in international law, customs, trade, and diplomacy.
Mark's research areas include International Customs Law, International Air Law, GATT/WTO and Regulatory Compliance Management. He is currently a postgraduate research student with Charles Sturt University studying for a Doctor of Philosophy. Mark teaches International Customs Law, Trade Policy and Practice and International Air Law. He has also taught in a number of the Centre's vocational programs. He has acted as a consultant on international customs law to the Governments of Jordan, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and the Marshall Islands.
Mark holds an Honours degree in Law, a Graduate Diploma in International Law, a Masters Degree in International Customs Law and Management and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
