CCES is launching a Green Customs Community of Practice (CoP), bringing together Customs and border management professionals to deepen our collective capability in addressing environmental challenges at the border. The purpose of the CoP is to: Build a shared understanding of the evolving Green Customs agenda, including emerging priorities and future directions of the WCO Green Customs Action Plan. Facilitate the exchange of practical insights, challenges, and good practices. Strengthen cross-sector and cross-industry relationships. Support and promote better practice in relation to how Customs contribute to environmental protection and sustainable trade. Sessions will be held every two months on the last Thursday or the month via Microsoft Teams. The inaugural session on 25 June 2026 will focus on the theme: “Leading at the border in an age of climate change.” This session will touch on the leadership shifts required to respond to emerging environmental and trade challenges.
